FARM SITTING

It is always difficult to go away and leave your four legged family members at home. I have been fortunate enough to have friends who will take my dogs into their home when I go away. It is much more difficult to find knowledgeable, reliable care for your horses.

For the last fifteen years, I have provided farmsitting for horses, cows, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens (and other birds), dogs and cats, and once even some alpacas! Starting with my father's practice, I have periodically worked for various veterinary clinics. I currently work part time for a local equine veterinarian. I mainly work in the office making appointments and doing paperwork, but I also get to help clients with their questions and concerns.

I try to follow your regular routine as much as possible. At each visit, I observe your animals for illness, injuries, lameness, loose shoes and behavior changes. I have experience with first aid and knowledge of most basic illnesses and injuries. I will take appropriate action for your pet's safety and health (i.e. first aid, contacting the veterinarian or farrier). I will contact you with updates and any questions or problems that arise.

Services may include: feeding, watering, turn out, stall cleaning, blanket or boot changing, grooming, medicating, general barn clean up, exercising, training, clipping.

Farmsitting can only be offered to locations within a half an hour of Doylestown.
